Don’t Squander This Precious Phase — Read my latest article!

Human development moves through recognizable stages. One of them is adulthood. Within the spectrum of adulthood, there exists a commonly overlooked transition period: the early phase of your later years.

This shift is one that is felt. It isn't tied to a number on your birthday cake, but to an internal reorientation. Astrology also plays a role.

To recognize the onset of these priceless years and learn about six evidence-informed principles and tips to help you make the most of them, read my latest article, How to Savor the Early Phase of Your Later Years, recently published by Spirituality & Health magazine.

Have you ever...noticed your chi suddenly drop?...felt a sense of ennui with who or what you were engaged with?...wondered "is this it?"...repeatedly prioritized your obligations over play time?...engaged in negative self-talk?...put off making those changes to your space that have been repeatedly calling your attention because they didn't seem like priorities?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you need to read this article. The information in it will help you to hone your awareness so that you'll be prepared not to squander one minute of this irreplaceable period of your life when you get to it.

Remember that regardless of your age, your time on the planet is limited. You want to savor every minute of it. 😉

In a Time of Division, One Simple Practice

In a Time of Division, One Simple Practice

Sometimes peace begins with a simple shift in how we see.

Division and separation seem to be everywhere right now. The headlines alone can leave many of us feeling unsettled, disheartened, or even fearful. When I first sat down to write this month’s newsletter, I found these thoughts blocking my creativity.

From many of our recent conversations, I know they’ve been weighing on your minds as well.

As I often share with clients, a book, course, relationship, or experience is worthwhile if even one meaningful insight emerges from it. Over the past week, my mind has repeatedly returned to one insight that has stayed with me for decades.

This insight comes from A Course in Miracles (ACIM), a spiritual thought system which first crossed my path in the late 1990s when I was a young private banker living a very different life. At the time, its 365 daily lessons were challenging to keep up with amid the pace of the environment I was in. I persevered and a seed was planted.

One of ACIM’s central teachings is simple, yet profound: the path to peace—within ourselves and in the world—begins with the healing of our relationships.

ACIM invites us to look at others differently.

To see ourselves reflected in them.

To remember that beneath our differences, we share the same human experience.

Two ideas from ACIM's curriculum often return to me:

Our outer world tends to mirror our inner world. The mindsets we carry shape the reality we perceive. This idea also applies on the collective level.

And forgiveness—which generally contributes to inner peace—allows us to see past the illusion of “other” and recognize the shared humanity within us all.

From that recognition, love (our highest vibration) becomes possible. And with love, separation softens.

In a world that feels increasingly polarized, perhaps the most meaningful contribution you can make is surprisingly simple:

1. Notice when your mind moves into “othering.”
2. Pause.
3. Remember the humanity we share.

No philosophy or spiritual curriculum is required for this practice. Only awareness that ripples energy outward in ways that are not always visible.

This is where peace takes root.

We are One.

Was it an authentic decision?

Was it an authentic decision?

Many of my clients are reevaluating their alignment with their authenticity as they seek to redefine, redesign, or reinvent some aspect of their lives this year. What about you?

Every authentic decision begins at a quiet threshold where you make the choice to step inward before moving forward. If you’re feeling a similar pull, I invite you to pause before seeking validation from others and instead ask your Self what your heart wants—rather than your head.

You didn’t come here to fit in; you came here to self-express. Fitting in is easy. Standing out requires courage—the courage to follow your calling to change some aspect of the way you're living, whatever that may be, minimally or radically.

Transformation can’t be cultivated without making a fresh choice and acting on it. And if you’ve stood at a threshold and taken an action to set the energy of change in motion, these are four signs that your decision was truly aligned with you.

-You feel lonely. Your social circle may not relate to your need to expand. Some may find your desires lofty or feel unsettled by your conviction for something different. You may even lose people you thought would always be with you. Know that those who truly love you will allow you to evolve.

-Your mind challenges you. Doubt and fear may arise—this is part of our evolutionary negativity bias that has us wired to play it safe and comfortable. When this happens, return to stillness. Sit in meditation and reconnect with the inner knowing that caused you to acknowledge your soul's desire for change.

-You sense or see a shift. You may feel lighter mentally, physically, or emotionally, begin seeing a situation through a new lens, or notice new opportunities emerging. Synchronicities and trust in your own decision-making often increase. Appreciate that your awareness is developing and stay open to signs and subtle changes that signal growth or expansion.

-You enjoy the process. You feel lit up. Contentment becomes a more sustainable state—you aren't seeking, you are being. Your nervous system settles. When you feel less effort and more peace, it’s often an indication that you are honoring both your truth and your holistic well-being. Thank yourself for being authentic.

Being aligned with your authentic self doesn’t mean life is easy; it means trusting your intuition and finding peace in the choices you make.

Peace is an undervalued commodity. 😉

P.S. Many of you have asked how to stay anchored to your inner voice amid all the shiny distractions. That question is what inspired my book, Building a Life: A Journey into Authenticity and Holistic Transformation. I’m currently preparing for its release this spring. More to come soon!

From Completion to Beginning: A Personal Note

From Completion to Beginning: A Personal Note

A reflection on authenticity—and a new chapter I’m excited to share.

Happy 2026! I’m grateful for the opportunity to support your mental, physical, and/or spiritual evolution in 2025. It is a privilege I never take lightly.

In numerology, numbers carry energetic vibrations, and 2025 was a 9 Universal Year—a time of completion, release, and transformation. Many of us were asked to reflect deeply, let go of what no longer serves us, and clear emotional and energetic weight. While meaningful, this process is often messy and uncomfortable.

You may have been called to reassess relationships, career paths, personal patterns, or even where you live. Perhaps there was a pull toward greater emotional honesty or a surrender to what is beyond your control. These themes were central to my own year, and I suspect they may have touched yours as well.

Because of this clearing, we are now prepared for 2026, a 1 Universal Year—the energy of a completely new cycle that will support renewal, reinvention, self-definition, and forward movement. Something within you may already be shifting, even if you don’t yet recognize it.

Last year may have prompted deep questions: What makes my life meaningful? Why do I limit the time I spend enjoying what genuinely lights me up? Those of you who have worked with me know my belief—a pull towards something or someone is not random. It is your soul speaking, asking you to respond.

As we step into the energy of the 1, 2026 supports your evolution. It invites you to ask: What will I build? Who am I, really? How do I want to live? Am I ready to claim responsibility for creating my circumstances? And then—to act on your answers to these questions.

Our time on the planet is finite, and living in alignment asks for courage—and radical authenticity.

Many of us believe we are living authentically, yet authenticity is not static; it requires ongoing self-inquiry. As we evolve, misalignment naturally develops and we are given a choice: ignore the call or make some adjustments to the way we are living. Research increasingly shows that authenticity is the foundation of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. Yet, we are uniquely skilled at abandoning our inner knowing to fit in. Reclaiming authenticity is not easy, but it is essential.

In the coming months, my book, Building a Life: How to Live with Authenticity in a World That Distracts You, will be published. It is an invitation to choose yourself—to listen more closely to your inner voice, honor what is calling you, and live in alignment with what matters most. I hope you will enjoy it.

I look forward to continuing to co-create a life that reflects who you truly are—and what will truly feed your soul—in this new year.

Tame your monkey?

Tame your monkey?

It’s the time of year when many of you are feeling overwhelmed by your obligations, intentional/unintentional review of the past years' lowlights/highlights, and thoughts about what you want to manifest in the new year.

This monkey mind chatter can stir up emotions that can cause you to lose clarity and focus. What if there could be a way to navigate through the chatter so you don’t feel stuck?

There is a very simple way: silence. People go to great lengths to avoid sitting alone in silence. We tend to seek anything that might fill that perceived empty space instead. However, silence is medicine.

I'm not suggesting that you go on a silent retreat, although this is the most powerful solution. But if you’re ready to manage your mind rather than let it manage you, then I suggest you try this easy exercise to begin:

Take yourself to a favorite place, ideally in nature but anywhere you can be alone and undisturbed for 30-minutes. Leave EVERYTHING behind (this means no phone).

Bring something you can use as a timer—or surrender to your own sense of time.

Take a few deep and grounding breaths to release the day’s activities. Begin to watch your thoughts and notice what thoughts stream in and how they fluctuate over the course of your silence.

· What triggers your mind to become activated?
· How long does it take for your mind to become quiet?
· What thoughts, positive and negative, begin to bubble up and dominate?
· If you are working through a particular health or personal challenge, what thoughts arrive related to them?
· Are you judging yourself or others?
· Can you begin to feel emotionally neutral?

At the end of the 30-minutes, try to journal about your experience. What comes up may surprise you.

You take a shower every day. Why not cleanse your mind daily as well? 😉
